Times are changing. The nature of how we work looks nothing like it did even just twelve months ago. As a result, hiring methods that have been in place for decades are changing too. You could even say hiring is undergoing a revolution. In my years as a recruiter, I’ve seen these changes coming. In fact, it’s the reason I founded Averity: to help companies hire the right people for the future.
As a Ph.D. level, U.S. citizen tech worker, I would like to call attention to the issues raised by the BBC article below, 'Facebook sued for denying opportunities to US workers'. This DOJ action responds to the current reality of the job market for people like myself and it will likely have a substantial effect on the 'future of hiring'.
The billion dollar question is : What will the Biden administration do? Stand up to big tech or sell out? We'll wait and see, but somehow I don't have a good feeling...
I completely understand your concern. I can't speak on others behalf, but Averity is a sound recruiting firm and will always focus on putting the most qualified person in front of the hiring managers while representing those people without discrimination regardless of age, race, nationality, location, or whatever else any administration can argue for. That is the authentic equality Averity is committed to deliver. Hopefully, others will follow this lead.
So true. Teamwork in an office environment is a total different ball game from that over a MS Teams or Zoom call. Subscribed, thank you!

My question to this forum is: What can recruiters and staffing agencies do to help? I'd welcome your thoughts!

Great points Chris. People hire People!
Great points Chris, and I couldn't agree more. I'm looking forward to reading the next post!
